Yes indeed we said we'd be quite happy to host this, and it makes sense
for us to do it. To make it clear it's not even a fork really, just a
new build that will have the ability to use Cairo (or possibly others
such as AGG - but this needs looking into some more).  But with the goal
of creating a version that has no reliance on CDraw or any closed-source
parts, so it would be pure GPL version.

So we're just trying to find out the best way to do this right now.
