One issue that Vasil found too is that you are using malloc_usable_size(), a
non-standard linux malloc feature. For the time being we are using Doug Leah's
malloc package as a dependency, and adding an equivalent to FreeBSD malloc is
being considered but it would be nice to be able to avoid the extra dependency
(the native FreeBSD malloc is very good).
