For the time being, the 'non-free' categorization is right. Parts of the
source code have not yet be made open, and there is an issue over the
example graphic designs. Obviously we hope to make all the necessary
code GPL so it can be properly classed as free.
As for the graphics I'm not sure GPL is even appropriate for stuff like
this (and it's even more difficult to see how it's relevant for things
like demo movies). We have agreements with the authors of the example
designs to let us include their work, and for this work to be used as
clipart, but we do not have a GPL license agreement with many, if any,
of the creators of our example graphics.
So the question is what would be required in order to be classified as
free? And thinking about it, the same point applies to documentation,
(e.g. help), demo movies as well as the example graphic designs.
