We used to have a "Scale fills" button on the Selector Infobar
alongside "Scale lines"...
I must say I would find it really useful to have this button back so
that I could do numeric scales that don't scale fills - i.e. you have
a shape filled with a repeating brick pattern, you want to set it's
width to a particular, accurate value but you don't want the size of
the bricks to change.

Drag and hit the numeric pad - (minus) key while dragging. This stops
all fills being scaled with the drawing.
(at some point we should have a more generic way of saying 'transform
shapes, but not fills and lines', and some reasonably obvious UI to
this)

PS Particularly difficult for laptop users with numeric key pad.

Can someone remind me how you scale an object without scaling
a bitmap fill attached to it? (so you can see more of the bitmap).
