The output of "svn diff" is the ideal formal. Failing that, "diff -u" from
the top level (which is almost the same except we don't get the useful
info about file revisions).

I'll leave the SVG stuff with Luke. I'll go look at the colour stuff,
sorry for missing it. Silly, given that's where we started!
