Not necessarily. If the text is right-aligned then logically you are
setting a left margin instead. The alignment options work for
non-wrapping text on a curve and if there is more text than will fit, it
extends beyond one (or both if centered) ends of the curve.

Isn't the logical interface to do that simply to create a right margin
blob?
